Health Equity in Action Summit: Collective Power for Community Health
We are at a pivotal moment to refocus on a shared goal: eliminating health inequities as a pathway to a stronger, more effective health system that works for everyone—including the communities they most impact. To help elevate the collective power of trusted community voices, evidence-driven policy, and leaders who can turn ideas into action, The Pfizer Multicultural Health Equity Collective, the Institute for Policy Solutions (IPS) at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and The National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators will convene the third Health Equity in Action Summit: Collective Power for Community Health in Washington, D.C.
The Health Equity in Action Summit will bring together health equity leaders, including healthcare providers, public health practitioners, policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, academics and advocates committed to eliminating health inequities for historically marginalized and underserved communities in the United States.
Summit Call to Action
The Summit seeks to create a collaborative forum for cross-sector leaders to align around shared priorities and mobilize collective action at a critical moment for public health. We aim to:
- Mobilize: elevate community solutions and policy as a community power enabling strategy to eliminate health inequities
- Collaborate: engage with fellow leaders to strengthen networks, map practical pathways for action, and build resilience in an increasingly complex healthcare environment
- Act: operationalize insights into scalable plans, practical tools, and next steps that enable coordinated action and measurable impact.
Grounded in lived experience, evidence and cross-sector expert insights, the following pillars serve as our guiding compass to help attendees navigate topics essential to eliminating health inequities:
Advance community-powered policy solutions across the local, state and federal levels to reshape care delivery, research & data, and workforce pathways to eliminate health inequities and ensure communities can acess equitable, high-quality care.
