We are at a pivotal moment to refocus on a shared goal: eliminating health inequities as a pathway to a stronger, more effective health system that works for everyone—including the communities they most impact. To help elevate the collective power of trusted community voices, evidence-driven policy, and leaders who can turn ideas into action, The Pfizer Multicultural Health Equity Collective, the Institute for Policy Solutions (IPS) at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing and The National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators will convene the third Health Equity in Action Summit: Collective Power for Community Health in Washington, D.C.

The Health Equity in Action Summit will bring together health equity leaders, including healthcare providers, public health practitioners, policymakers, industry representatives, researchers, academics and advocates committed to eliminating health inequities for historically marginalized and underserved communities in the United States.

Summit Call to Action

The Summit seeks to create a collaborative forum for cross-sector leaders to align around shared priorities and mobilize collective action at a critical moment for public health. We aim to:

Co-Conveners

The Institute for Policy Solutions (IPS) at Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing — IPSNow.org — exists to eliminate health inequities by drawing on the wisdom, expertise, and leadership of nurses. IPS provides evidence-based policy and programmatic solutions, cutting-edge research, impactful health workforce training, and actionable thought leadership. It forges innovative strategic partnerships and assembles convenings that build bridges and shape opinions. Through its outreach, it engages, influences, and mobilizes audiences. Everything IPS does is aimed at elevating the nation’s health.
The National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators (NHCSL), founded in 1989 as a nonpartisan nonprofit organization, represents more than 470 Hispanic state legislators across the U.S, and Puerto Rico. Dedicated to serving and advocating for these leaders, NHCSL works to strengthen their effectiveness in shaping public policy and improving the quality of life for Hispanic communities. Its mission centers on being the leading voice and resource for Hispanic state legislators throughout the nation.
Pfizer’s Multicultural Health Equity Collective (The Collective) is a cooperative of Pfizer colleagues and 40+ partners and advocates who are working together to advance policy and systems change that improve health outcomes in historically marginalized and underserved communities.
